Azizjon Azimi - Founder
Azizjon Azimi is the founder and chairman of TajRupt. A Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University, he is a concurrent-degree Master's in Business Administration candidate at Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Master’s in Public Policy candidate at Harvard Kennedy School. Azizjon was recognized by Forbes in 2018 "30 Under 30" Asia list in social entrepreneurship category for his work on founding TajRupt. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) from New York University with high honors in economics and honors in international relations, having been the youngest degree candidate of the Class of 2016. It was during his time at NYU that he came to value the essence of critical thinking skills that systemically lack in Tajikistan's educational landscape through extracurricular activities and academic studies. Upon graduation, he worked at United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and at Simon-Kucher & Partners in New York.
Aadith Moorthy - Board Member
Aadith Moorthy is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar and PhD candidate in materials science and engineering at Stanford University, as well as the founder of ConserWater Technologies - a startup that uses AI to help farmers grow more with fewer resources. The foundations of his background in AI come from his time at Caltech, where he completed a CS degree with a concentration in machine learning and computer vision, and studies under pioneers of the field such as Prof. Pietro Perona and Prof. Yaser Abu-Mustafa. He is interested in seeing how AI can be applied to benefit the underprivileged in developing countries.
Steve Caputo - Board Member
Stephen Caputo is an equity research associate at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) Research in New York. Previously, he worked as equity research associate at Susquehenna International Group (SIG), and at Barclays Investment Bank in New York covering consumer financial, software, and consumer retail companies. He had also founded Outer Advertising - a startup that focused on solutions for ride-sharing drivers.
Muhsinjon Muhammadjonov - Business Lead
Muhsinjon Muhammadjonov is the business lead at TajRupt. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Washburn University in the United States, along with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration with majors in finance, accounting and management from the same university. He gained recognition for high scholastic achievement through induction into Washburn University's Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society for collegiate schools of business in 2018. Upon graduation, Muhsinjon worked in the private sector as a financial analyst. At TajRupt, Muhsinjon will work cross-functionally across ERC and AI initiatives.
Dr. Ahliddin Nizomiddinov - data lead
Ahliddin Nizomiddinov is an instructor at tajrupt.ai focusing on statistics. Prof. Nizomiddinov is the head of department of statistics at Khujand Polytechnic Institute. He holds a PhD in mathematical science from Anadolu University and has attended academic conferences in the United States, Portugal, Turkey, and Romania. Prof. Nizomiddinov has published articles in journals including “International Economic Review” and “International Journal of Economics and Statistics”.
Dr. Khudoyberdi Egamov - Instructor (Calculus)
Khudoyberdi Egamov is an instructor at tajrupt.ai focusing on calculus. Prof. Egamov is the former chair of mathematics department at Khujand State University and currently teaches higher mathematics at the university. Professor Egamov holds a Candidate of Science degree in mathematics from Khujand State University. He has taught at Khujand State University since 1979 and has served in administrative positions in the university.
Mirzodaler Muhsinzoda - ML Research Fellow
Mirzodaler Muhsinzoda is a research fellow at tajrupt.ai. Mirzodaler is a PhD candidate at Khujand Polytechnic Institute and holds a Master’s degree in computer science from University of Deusto in Spain in addition to pursuing graduate studies at the University of Granada in Spain. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and computer science from Khujand Polytechnic Institute and was a winner of national Olympiad in mathematics.
Behruz Inomov - ML Research Fellow
Behruz Inomov is a research fellow at tajrupt.ai. Behruz is a PhD candidate at Khujand Polytechnic Institute and has pursued studies at Polytechnic University of Turin in Italy as part of the ERASMUS exchange program. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Khujand Polytechnic Institute and was a winner of national Olympiad in computer science.
